Notes of the Day

The electronic dictionary that I bought seven years ago unshown some part on the screen. I wanted a new one.
The old one contained only English-Japanese and Japanese-English dictionaries. Nowadays, most of the models have many contains, but I don't need those; games, Family Medical Dictionary, etc.

By the way, I was interested in Japanet Takata, one of the biggest TV shopping programs. They usually sell the latest models made by the leading electronic companies.
I usually go to an electronic appliance store to buy, but electronic dictionaries all seem the same. And more, Japanet Takata's no interest installment payment system was attractive to me. So, I decided to buy from them for the first time.

I dialled them to order. I sometimes buy things from internet. The only thing that I was required is filling in my name, address, phone number and credit card No. in the form. It's very convenient.
But the operator of the TV shopping annoyed me because I requested the installment buying.
She asked me about my job information and told me that a credit loan company was going to call the office for credit check. Finally, I changed the payment to my credit card.

I got too used to credit card and forgot about the importance of credit granting.

Hi, long time no see.
I had been very busy for two months.
I looked for a new job because I had to quit the ex-job in two years. I found the difficulty to get a job in recession. To find a job is troublesome. I didn't want to work as a temporary staff any more!
However, I started to work as a temporary staff again. I'm satisfied with the job, but the more I get old the more the situation become severe.
I have to work hard to be a talented person the company needed.

I can return home earlier recently, and I'll restart to study English.

CORRECTION
After I came back home, I turned on my PC and realized that it is April Fools Day today.
I read some web diaries that seem to be April Fool's jokes, but nobody in our office mentioned it.
The custom came to Japan decades ago, but I think it has failed to catch on among Japanese people.
This would come from our sincerity and lack of humor. And more so, we traditionally believe in the power of words and are afraid the jokes will come true.
This is just my opinion.
What do you think?

I'm on a train to go to a conference which our company will hold.My boss asked me to be a receptionist for it. I usually don't need to wear a suit but today I have to.
It was raining when I left the home and I felt my foot get wet. Oh, no, the shoe that I rarely wear has a hole! It's too late to go back home for other shoes. Please don't tear it until the conference finishes.
It has become a long day...

My husband and I went to an Isakaya the day before yesterday. We met a woman, who is a regular at the Isakaya. She comes there at least twice a week and most of the time when we go there we see her.
We sat next to her and had a chat. She told us that she cooks dinner for her husband before she comes. Even though, he every time complains about her coming there. She needs to drink to reduce the stress of her job but her husband dislikes of women drinking. I feelt sorry for her.
On the other hand, I had a small critical thought against married women who donot stay home at night. I told my husband after we arrived home. He respond to me that I go to ballet lessons at nights but he doesn't want me to stay home everyday as long as I do what I should do. I thought I'm not a sexist but I criticized her with biased thought.

Our household income reduced by an economical depression. I sometimes complained how hard my husband worked. However, I realised that we had been in lavish life style with his overtime payment.
We try to make ends meet and finally my husband decided to give one of his cars up. The car was too old to sale. We can save just MOT test cost and tax. Anyway he took the car to a used car dealer where he bought it.
Then I went there for picking him up a few hours later. When we were leaving there he told me that there was a nice car there.
"Uh,,, it's nice." I said so, but didn't show an interest. We have no choice.

One of my coworkers, who is in his late 50s, is bothersome.
He changed jobs last April. PC skills are a requirement for his job, but he doesn't know how to use his computer very well. The only thing he can do is enter data in Excel spreadsheets.
He desperately wanted the job, so he told his boss at his job interview that he can use a computer.
Since April he has asked everyone in his site about anything he doesn't know regarding how to use a PC. At first others taught him kindly, but they saw he didn't want to learn anything. He wanted others to come to where his PC is, and just watch others' operations. He never took any notes and asked about the same things again and again and again.
He works on the first floor. Others who work on the same floor started to refuse to help him.
So lately he asks us, who work on the third floor.
It's uncomfortable to complain to elderly people and we don't know how treat him.

I had to go to a bank just in front of a station in down town of Tokyo by car.
The roads were narrow and busy with pedestrians, so I gave up finding a parking lot where the bank offered. I drove into a parking of a supermarket. It was multistory car park and I had to park from a small entrance. It seemed difficult to park for me. Two elder men supported drivers. One of them led me to a circle painted orange and told me to stop there.
I thought I didn't need to worry about the small entrance, he would drive cars into the facility. When I was about to get off the car the circle started to turn toward the entrance. I had to park by myself but my car head to the entrance and I could park very easy.
Since I'm not good at driving, I avoid going to crowded place by car. But occasionally I had to go, in the case those supports will be very helpful.
