Notes of the Day

When some said that keeping concentration during two hours TOEIC
examination is not easy, I criticized them in my mind. Even though you could take a great result of the test you wouldn't become a great worker. You have to work eight hours every day.
I was confident of my concentration.

However, as I get older I lost concentration.
I'm taking the test the end of this month and I was planning to do the exercises by myself in the same format, 200 questions, at once.
I started from the listening part yesterday, but I felt tired and I stopped doing it.
I did only 30 min exercise this morning and the test hasn't been
completed yet.
What's wrong with me? Do I need long sleep or some supplement tablets?

それなりに集中力はあるほうだと思っていた。
TOEICの途中で集中力が途切れた、なんて話を聞くと「たった２時間集中できないの？　就職したら毎日８時間働くんだよ」なんて思っていた。
でも最近はなかなか疲れが取れない。
昨日、今朝と問題を通してやろうと思ったけど全然だめ。やっぱり年かな〜

2009 was over, and 2010 has begun.
When the past year started, I couldn't imagine how my life style was going to have the great change. It was busy year because I changed the jobs in March and moved to a houses in July.
I looked back on my diary in 2009 that was written about my ambitions. In past a few years, I had started almost what I wanted to do. So, I wished improve those skills.
However, I couldn't achieve that.
I'll express my ambitions, the same as those in 2009, continuing and improving what I has already started.

In work day, I sometimes go out for lunch.
Some coworkers get together at our usual table, have lunch, then leave to work together.
The day before yesterday, it was very cold. When we were putting on our down coats we began to laugh.
Three of us, including me, wore the similar down coats. We found that we bought them in a same shop, Uniqlo.
Some business reports said that Uniqlo is one of the growing companies, even in this economic recession. It must be true.

The electronic dictionary that I bought seven years ago unshown some part on the screen. I wanted a new one.
The old one contained only English-Japanese and Japanese-English dictionaries. Nowadays, most of the models have many contains, but I don't need those; games, Family Medical Dictionary, etc.

By the way, I was interested in Japanet Takata, one of the biggest TV shopping programs. They usually sell the latest models made by the leading electronic companies.
I usually go to an electronic appliance store to buy, but electronic dictionaries all seem the same. And more, Japanet Takata's no interest installment payment system was attractive to me. So, I decided to buy from them for the first time.

I dialled them to order. I sometimes buy things from internet. The only thing that I was required is filling in my name, address, phone number and credit card No. in the form. It's very convenient.
But the operator of the TV shopping annoyed me because I requested the installment buying.
She asked me about my job information and told me that a credit loan company was going to call the office for credit check. Finally, I changed the payment to my credit card.

I got too used to credit card and forgot about the importance of credit granting.

Hi, long time no see.
I had been very busy for two months.
I looked for a new job because I had to quit the ex-job in two years. I found the difficulty to get a job in recession. To find a job is troublesome. I didn't want to work as a temporary staff any more!
However, I started to work as a temporary staff again. I'm satisfied with the job, but the more I get old the more the situation become severe.
I have to work hard to be a talented person the company needed.

I can return home earlier recently, and I'll restart to study English.

CORRECTION
After I came back home, I turned on my PC and realized that it is April Fools Day today.
I read some web diaries that seem to be April Fool's jokes, but nobody in our office mentioned it.
The custom came to Japan decades ago, but I think it has failed to catch on among Japanese people.
This would come from our sincerity and lack of humor. And more so, we traditionally believe in the power of words and are afraid the jokes will come true.
This is just my opinion.
What do you think?

I'm on a train to go to a conference which our company will hold.My boss asked me to be a receptionist for it. I usually don't need to wear a suit but today I have to.
It was raining when I left the home and I felt my foot get wet. Oh, no, the shoe that I rarely wear has a hole! It's too late to go back home for other shoes. Please don't tear it until the conference finishes.
It has become a long day...

My husband and I went to an Isakaya the day before yesterday. We met a woman, who is a regular at the Isakaya. She comes there at least twice a week and most of the time when we go there we see her.
We sat next to her and had a chat. She told us that she cooks dinner for her husband before she comes. Even though, he every time complains about her coming there. She needs to drink to reduce the stress of her job but her husband dislikes of women drinking. I feelt sorry for her.
On the other hand, I had a small critical thought against married women who donot stay home at night. I told my husband after we arrived home. He respond to me that I go to ballet lessons at nights but he doesn't want me to stay home everyday as long as I do what I should do. I thought I'm not a sexist but I criticized her with biased thought.
