I knew I did overriaction.
2008.07.28.Mon / 14:55
I periodically go to the hospital to get my allergy medicine. Recently my skin condition was not good and the doctor recommended me a shampoo for sensitive skin.
I went to a department store to buy it.
As soon as I told the staff that I was interested in their shampoo, she let me take a seat and wanted me to fill in a form with my personal information. They also asked me about my skin condition.
Why did I have to give my personal data to buy a shampoo?
I rejected it in unpleasant tone. And I could buy the shampoo without those data.
I knew I did overreaction. But I have a inferiority feeling of my skin for years and I really didn't want to talk about that.

CORRECTED
A pair of twins were born to a happy couple, but the husband who was a doctor recognized that one of their babies, the girl, had Down syndrome.
He secretly handed the girl over to a nurse who loved him and asked her to take the girl away to a children's institution.

Sounds like a soap opera, doesn't it?
I usually don't choose this kind of books when I read in Japanese. However, the aim of reading English books is reading itself.
And entertaining books are easy reading.

When the doctor abandoned the girl he thought that would be the best for his family. He tried to be good to his son and his wife who believed that the girl had died. Their life was built on his one and only lie.
The story has someting more than entertainment.

The way I buy kitchen tools.
2008.04.30.Wed / 21:39
CORRECTED
My husband requested me to cut cabbage into strips as thin as those in restaurants.
As I wrote before, he eats salad almost every day. It is a lot of work to cut a lot of cabbage every day,
I have a slicer and a peeler, but both of them are too small for cabbage.
So I bought a big peeler which claims, "This is the best peeler for sliceing for cabbage!".
At first it worked very well, but then I found that the core and the outer leaf are not properly sliced. In any case I still have to use the knife so I gave up on it.
This is how I got many useless kitchen tools

I met the most irresponsible person.
2008.04.03.Thu / 11:04
I sometimes complain about irresponsible people. I'm troubling at work caused by such a person and she is the worst.

Her company and mine did a project together and we have to make the annual report. I asked her to fill some parts of the report and send me back. It was March 13th and the deadline was the 24th.
The amount of the work is not big, it would take only half a day. However, she hadn't made it by the deadline.
I had asked when I can receive the report during in the last week. She avoid every e-mail from me so I called her. At first I could reach her, she told me that she was just making the report so me to wait for a while. Then she started avoiding me again even telephone.

I called again, April 1st. A man answered the phone and said, "She moved."

What?!

Nobody had took over the task. I got really mad!
But on the other hands, it would bring a good result. I made her coworker to take over the task. I hope I can get the report soon.
