About the Olympic.
2008.08.18.Mon / 14:49
Everybody is excited at the Beijing Olympic.
But I'm not interested in it... hum, to be honest, I think we don't need any Olympics for the future.
Look, what were brought about by the Olympic?
They built a lot of stadiums and roads only for a few weeks, which brought at the high iron price and air pollution.
Conflicts between the races, selection controversy about representative athletes, and so on.
I understand that Olympic is athletes' dream, to see their hard efforts are impressing.
I'd like to suggest the better way to hold Olympic.
*Have each event in different countries and use existing facilities.
*Select athletes in tournament play (Ignore some ones' considerations).
Maybe nobody agree with me. So I'll close my mouth until the next Olympic.

I should have called police.
2008.07.08.Tue / 06:42
It was half past 10 p.m. last night.
I got off a bus and when I was about to reach home a man on a bicycle suddenly grabbed my hip.
He pedaled away straight and I could see his back over 10 sec. At that time, I had a camera cell-phone in my hand. I couldn't decide whether to take his photo or call police. He seemed in his teens to 20s, in a navy blue T-shirt, had short hair, on a whitish bicycle, but I couldn't see his face. I thought police were not going to be able to catch him, and I didn't want to get into a trouble. So I decided not to do anything.
My husband was not at home yet. When I locked the door, suddenly I felt afraid.
He could have robbed me or stabbed me!
It was a residential area, there were many houses and it was not dark. I screamed loud so someone could have looked his face. It was possible that he was arrested.
I should have called police soon.

My futon tempts me.
2007.12.18.Tue / 15:44
It's too cold to wake up happily this week, isn't it?
I respect my husband that he never oversleeps. He wakes up by 5:30 a.m. and leaves home at six.
I go to work at 7:40 so I have enough time to do laundry or read books after I say, "Have a good day" to him.
However, my futon tempts me to slip into it and I can't beat the temptation.
OK, I'll sleep just 30 min... zzz.
Then as you imagine easily, I regret that I have to wake up with cold again.

Hadashi-no Gen
2007.08.05.Sun / 14:23
Summer has come. It's the time we think about the past war. I watched a TV program information yesterday. The title was "Hadashi-no Gen (Barefoot Gen)".
This was a story about a survivor of an atomic bomb.
We used to watch movies about the war every summer. Teachers gathered all of the students and showed movies. These images were shocking for children.
I was frightened and disliked the time.

Even today, I can remember about the movies. I believe that there is no excuse starting any war.
Maybe, the teachers' hope for peace has spread to us.

increase the level.
2007.07.28.Sat / 09:04
I entered an English school three years ago. I don't need English skill for my job and I have been going to the school for fun.
Therefore, I hadn't studied hard at home.
Two years passed after that, I still stayed in the same grade when I entered.
I changed my mind to study harder. I aimed to raise the level by this summer. I started reading English books, writing this diary and watching DVDs. However, I still keep the same grade and I'll finish the school in two month.
There is a rumor about the school that they let the students raise the level when the deadline of their lesson tickets is coming. The staffs motivate us and expect the new contract.
I don't know if this is true. However, the teachers and staffs started to advice me about increasing my level.
I feel awkward.

I need to write this diary often.
2007.04.08.Sun / 22:49
CORRECTED
I usually spend 30 minutes to one hour writing an English diary. Usually, I write an entry a few times a week. Maybe, a few sentences done every day is better than longer entries done occasionally. I'll try shorter entries for a while.

Someone tried to connect our PC?
2007.04.01.Sun / 13:35
CORRECTED
I sometimes complain to my husband that he doesn't turn off the light, the TV and the PC when he sleeps. The other day, he didn't turn off his PC until morning. Then he found a notice on his screen. It said, "Someone tried to get into your computer." Of course, his PC has security software. We looked at the connecting history, but we couldn't find any strange information. We hope that someone tried to connect to his computer, but the person couldn't get it. Anyway, he pulls out the plug each times when he finishes using the PC.

CORRECTED
I took TOEIC test yesterday. It was the third one for me. I didn't focus on it, but I am supposed to take it periodically was good to see how much I have improved my English. From my experience, I aimed to answer every questions. I had decided that I was not going to consider too much. Even with this, I couldn't answer nine questions. However, I felt that I have done it better than my past exam.

bus fee
2007.03.22.Thu / 21:33
CORRECTED
I decided to go to work by train and bus from this April. However, my husband's car had a little trouble. He borrowed my car, so I quit driving earlier than I planned.
The train and a bus fees are paid for by my company. I pay 290 yen between a station to the nearest bus stop of my company where is at just front of the gate. But if I take the bus from the former bus stop, the fee is 240 yen.
The distance is 200 m. I don't want to pay an extra 50 yen for 200 m. But I can't tell them that I be given 290 yen in rainy days or 240 yen in sunny days. It's uncomfortable that people think I take 50 yen in my pocket. Any ideas?

apologize
2007.03.19.Mon / 20:31
CORRECTED
Sorry, this is a negative story...
My husband and I are regulars of a bar. The bartender is a member of a bartender organization, and the organization held a cocktail party.
We booked the party and a bus between our town to a hotel where the party was held. The bus arrived at a station where it picked us up 30 minutes behind schedule because the driver misunderstood about the place.
Everybody makes mistake. But what made us angry was the driver didn't apologize. He didn't get off the bus, turned his body to the passenger seats, then made many excuses without bow. Everybody ignored him.
And what's more, the driver refused to drive over the freeway. He said, "I will drive over it, if you paid the fee." A man was very angry, and then called the organisation about the situation. Of course, the organisation decided to pay the fee.
The party is held every year. But we will never join it.
