over weight

CORECTTED
I have put on weight. I work as an office worker and commute by car. I usually don't drink much, but drink almost every day. I need more exercise and reducing beer.
I supposed from my experience, if I decide going on a diet, I would lose weight soon. However.... I have to admit I am overweight. Generally, middle-aged people would be difficult to lose weight compared with they were younger. It's the time I go on a diet.

misunderstanding

CORECTTED
I read an article written in English in a website. A woman fell down from a platform caused by a man who banged her. She couldn't flee him, because she used her mobile phone. Fortunately, she was rescued. I understood the article. And I thought he was bad. People who don't care others are increasing recently. And then, I watched the same news in Japanese on TV. The accident was the same. However, I got a different impression. In the Japanese news, the caster impressed me with danger of using a mobile phone as walk. Was it caused by my English skill, or an information trick?

Le Creuset

CORRECTED
"Le Creuset" is my favorite pan. It's heavier and more expensive compared with others. Some people say that they don't need it. I had been interested in it, before I got it. One day, my coworker lent it to me for trial. I made Japanese style stew called "Nimono". I was surprised how different it was. I needed only a little water to boil it. So, the taste was thick and delicious. The coworker gave it to me. She said she couldn't use it well. Anyway, I lent it to another coworker. I am glad if she likes it.

speak in Japanese

CORRECTED
Our English school has sold free pass tickets. Some of the students spoke in Japanese without hesitation in the lessons. They were not only beginners, but also advanced students. Someone asked others in Japanese what the teacher said. It made me confused. Most of the teachers don't speak Japanese. This is one of the good points for learning English. Because, we have to try the teacher to understand what we say. Speaking in Japanese at lessons would disappoint the teachers.

inheritance

CORRECTED
My uncle died. He had been suffered from diabetes for long years. My father had four brothers and one sister. All of the five men (including my father) were diabetics. People say, diabetes is caused by their lifestyle. But my father's brothers left their home for work when they were 15 years old. Since then, they had a different life. In this case, I think the illness was caused by inheritance.

thief

CORRECTED
One day last week, my husband and I planned to go to a Chinese restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant, we saw a man who was standing beside a car. He was just leaving from the car. My husband whispered to me that the man could be a thief. My husband said that the man was surprised when we showed up, and he didn't go into the restaurant. Now that he mentioned it, it was strange that the car which he had just locked was dark. And the restaurant was a little bit expensive for dinner by oneself. We were not sure if the man tried to open the car. Anyway, we left the parking for another restaurant.

homeless

CORRECTED
Osaka municipal government teared down homeless people's tents in a park. I agree with that. In some cases, government just remove their tents from a park. The homeless would lose their tents which make them warm. They wouldn't have jobs. They wouldn't be able to go anywhere. So they would have to return the park soon.
However, in this Osaka's case, government organized some facilities for these homeless to live. I understand that someone couldn't work because of their age or illness. Society or their family should be tolerant to these people. But they also should try to work hard not to end up being homeless.

opinion

CORRECTED
I took some free conversation classes yesterday. In the conversation, I asked a teacher how I need to learn to improve my English. He said that I lack of debate skill.
Describing one's opinion with logical thinking is difficult even in Japanese. I need to read about some current issues in English. And then, I would speak or write my opinion as these examples below.

welcome and farewell party

CORRECTED
A welcome and farewell party was held on this Tuesday.
Our group members are divided into three rooms, so we aren't familiar with some members who belong to the other rooms.
There are two Chinese and one South Korean in our group. The Korean and one of the Chinese belong to the other room and don't speak Japanese.
Anyway, I sat at the end of the table in the party. The Chinese sat in front of me, and next to him was the Korean.
They spoke English well. When I speak English in (/at) school, I don't feel inferior about my English. But strangely, I felt shame about it in the party.
I spoke some simple sentences. I didn't want to be pointed out my errors by the other members. I regret it now.
