shout at innocent people.
2007.11.30.Fri / 12:17
I was waiting a bus in the morning. I saw a bus was coming but the bus didn't stop and almost passed the bus stop. I was surprised and waved my hand widely. Luckily, the driver realized and stopped soon. I was relieved and got in the bus. I understood everybody does mistake and I didn't miss the bus. So I was not upset and didn't want to complain to the driver.
However, to my surprised the driver shouted at me "Stand rightly or you miss the bus!" What!?
For my defense, I had never shouted at people in my short temper. But I shouted at immediately "I did stand rightly, didn't I?!"
The driver said nothing and I didn't say anymore.

I was shocked because not only what the driver said but also I blew up in public space.
I know some people who difficult to say sorry, some people who make excuses for evade the responsibility. But I know nobody who shout at innocent people.

My homework.
2007.11.20.Tue / 11:37
CORRECTED
I'd like to talk about Malta where I went to last month.
The country is located south of Italy. There are three islands; the biggest island is Malta, the others are Gozo and Comino.
The climate is Mediterranean. It wasn't until I searched about Malta that I found out about the rainy cold winters. I had imagined that the island would be always hot and dry.
They have hot summers until September and the rainy season starts from October. I went there early October, it was the best time to go between summer and a lot of rain.

The currency is Maltese lira, about 380 yen to one lira. They joined the European Union in 2004 and the currency is going to change to euro in 2008.
Even when I was there, I could use both Maltese lira and euro. What confused me about money was they called Maltese lira pound. Because the country was occupied by England until 1964.

The travel industry is one of the major industries. Many Europeans visit the island but the number of Japanese visitors is not so many. I guess the disadvantage of travel from Japan is only the distance. There isn't any direct flight between Japan and Malta, and we need almost all-day to get there.
I loved the beautiful island and want to go there and stay longer.

*distant = adj
*distance = n
○ in October
× in early October → early October

My English teacher gave me a homework writing a five to ten minutes long report.
People say English is a way to communicate and the goal is not studying itself.
I agree with that, but I sometimes feel I have nothing special, I'm a boring person. Sigh..

Anyway, this is my homework;

I'd like to talk about Malta where I went to last month.

A thing what disappoint me.
2007.11.18.Sun / 17:10
I usually have an extra bag for refusing plastic bags. Many supermarkets prepare cards which are written 'I don't need plastic bags', and I put it into my basket.
However, I sometimes forget refusing them at convince stores or book shops because I pay attention to the coin.
The staffs sometimes put chopsticks and wet hand towel into the plastic bag. I wish they ask me if I need them or not.

Next year's notebook
2007.11.15.Thu / 00:30
A salesman visited our office, we buy many things from his company. When he was leaving our office he gave me something long and white, it was next year's calender.
Oh, this year is only one and half month away!

I need to choose new notebook. I was interested in My English Organizer last year but I bought a small notebook. It was not related on English, it's only filled in schedule. Because I didn't have confidence to keep writing.
I looked to someone's review. I found many reviews 'I bought My English Organizer. I'll try to write everyday!', but nobody said 'I did it! I have been writing during the year!'
Hum... I believe if I keep to write on the note everyday my English would be improved, but that seems big task.

My first book.
2007.11.03.Sat / 20:07
CORRECTED
During a recent conversation with Oko-san, she asked me if I'd ever read Shinich Hoshi, one of the most famous SF writers in Japan. I've read a few of his books and his name reminded me of my old days.
His novel was the first novel that I happened to buy for myself when I was seven years old.
I said 'happened to' because I went to a book store not for buying a novel but a comic book Candy Candy vol. 4.
I had saved money for the comic and ran into the store clutching 300 yen. The book store was small and nobody was in the store except the middle aged owner and me.
Then I knew the comic's price was 340 or 360 yen. (I can't remember the cost but it was over 300 yen). I was so young and obsessed with that fact that I couldn't leave the store without buying something. It was funny :(
Anyway the reason why I bought Shinich Hoshi's book was that one of his novels was 280 yen. hehe
Oh, yeah. The story was about an alien who disguised himself as a human being but was discovered because he didn't have palms. Do you know the story?

Pray for us.
2007.11.01.Thu / 20:41
As I write before, my father took treatment of cancer.
He had taken eight times treatment once every week and it was finished two weeks ago.
The doctor said that many patients give it up by the wayside. My father usually doesn't hang out the white but in the middle of the treatment he said that he lost his self confidence. But he made it! I am really proud of him.
The doctor burned inside of my father's body with chemical for killing the tumor. My father underwent an endoscopic examination but it was unclear because of sore.
Anyway, what he can do now are just waiting and undergoing the examination periodically.
Keep your fingers crossed for my father please.
